love languages

this is my post-valentine post... haha... super-duper late! i was sooooo tamad to make any post lately, and it doesn't help that we only have a limited and sloooow internet connection now. =S

anyway, going back to my topic, i just learned about love languages when i listened to these marriage counselors being interviewed in 700 club. they said that it's imperative for a couple to know their partner's love language/s to be better attuned with their needs. sort of... it's useless to shower your partner with gifts when he wants you to spend more time with him.

here are the five love languages discussed briefly but clearly by one of the counselors, i think they are also self-explanatory so i don't have to explain them:

1. physical touch

2. acts of service

3. quality time

4. words of affirmation

5. giving and receiving of gifts

i discussed this with jude this morning and he greatly appreciated this learning. i asked him what's his love language and as i guessed, he said it's acts of service and physical touch... =) yes, he's really a touchy person especially when we're still bf-gf.

i also let him guess what my love languages and this is what he said, "quality time and.... receiving of gifts!" hahaha. he never missed the last! =D
