time out for iñigo!

that was after he threw a tantrum after i told him to stop pulling off the drawers in our sala. he was wailing and bellowing before that photo but when he saw me holding a camera and was aiming to point it at him, the tot instantly flashed a smile! i’m not sure if it was because there's another photo-op for him or he was thinking bati na kame... whatyathink? sayang... i wasn’t able to capture that smile as he immediately put on a sullen face again as he have thought that indeed, mommy is serious with him. =)

i’m sure it won’t be the first and the last time-out my little boy will get from me and his daddy. you see, he’s becoming mischievous these days. let me correct: he’s becoming naughty. pilyo as my mom puts it. he loves to play tricks with us and laughs at his own antics or misdeeds. he also acquired one of my best and worst traits as we observed that he’s also strong-willed and would put a fight over the things he wanted. he can be quite assertive and demanding too. it’s just this afternoon when we were watching tv (he's in my arms) when his favorite dance song was played. since my eyes were glued to the tv i was oblivious that he was already dancing to the tune. well not until he grabbed my face with his two pudgy hands as his way of saying “mommy, ako tingnan mo and not the tv!” i must confess i got stupefied after this grabbing face incident. i didn’t know i have another boss for a son. hahaha.

iñigo also metamorphosed from a shy and clingy baby into an (overly)confident and independent toddler. he also have a tendency to be a crowd's favorite. he'd dance or or make pabibo when he's asked to and even when he' not. it's also easy for him now to say or wave hello to a stranger and interact with them, but with our guidance of course.

i am pretty confident to say that he had already came out from his shell and ready to join the big world out there...

which made me realize now i no longer have a baby for a son. sniffs

few more years and i'll miss these diaper days.

  4. oh jah... i'm more stressed out at the end of the day compared when i was working in the office. it's like i just say "no" and "stop" incessantly. naku, if we could just live without furniture and items in the house... our house is always messy and ang hirap if you're oc... hehe.

  5. bless, i'd rather give him a time-out than spank him because he spanks back. hehe. ang hirap kasi i-enforce yung rules if am also doing it. t'saka feeling ko huh... although it's too early to tell... it's more effective because he's more "takot" sa TO than sa spank.
