more expensive than his daddy's...

i’m talking about haircuts here. because for his last two, iñigo had his haircuts done inside a kiddie salon. the first one was in festival mall (i forgot the name of the salon) last february while the latest was done last month in cuts for tots in its glorietta branch. and i was really shocked with to learn that they increased their price to php 285 for a simple haircut. jude could not believe i paid that much for the haircut of his son as he’s just paying php 60 for his own. hmpf… wala naming barney show sa barber shop mo!  kidding aside, perks like this is the reason why i prefer to bring iñigo to a kiddie salon now. he looks forward to his haircut when it’s done there than when we used to bring him to bruno’s or a neighborhood salon where he was terrified of the experience. he also cooperates with the hair cutter in the kiddie salons that’s why he gets a better trim for his hair, and this means it would take a longer time for the hair to grow back. unlike before when only a month passed by since his last haircut and his mane was unruly again. my son is blessed with so much hair even when he’s a newborn. he had his first haircut when he’s five months old and i could no longer count how many more he haircuts he had up to this date.

lastly, i get to sit comfortably inside a kiddie salon unlike inside bruno’s or a neighborhood salon where i served as iñigo’s booster chair and entertainer as well and i had no escape from the hair strands that fell off from his head. lucky me if it won’t shoot into my mouth. aghast!

you'd never see him smiling like this inside bruno's, hehe.

"daddy, bruno's don't have this car."

peace sign... that's for mommy as she had it while the little tot was having a haircut.

the following pix were taken inside cuts for tots... see how he charmed with his new do the pretty little girl who was there inside the salon. =)

  1. i think there are a lot of things for kids that are usually way expensive than those for adults... the haircuts, clothes, shoes... etc.
good thing i have daughters and they can grow their hair long...(um, actually, it's taking longer than i expected... haha), unlike if i had a son, haircuts would have to be done on a regular basis *kaching* kaching*

  3. we too weren't spared of these exorbitant rates!

jc's first haircut was in a kiddie salon in market market. and because it included some photos and a certificate, the seemingly simple haircut cost us so much. but what can we do? we're very excited parents who will pay (almost) any amount for our son's do.

his 2nd one was last weekend lang.. at cuts for tots din in megamall. grabe 280 for him this time! jouie was so surprised too, e laking Reyes Haircutters yun kaya P49 lang per gupit hahaha!

hay.. when will this ever end??..

  4. you said it right. we just bought a new pair of shoes and denim pants (the old one was never returned by the laundry shop here!) last sat. and jude kept on sighing when he was already paying for them... to think that they are not bearing signature brands pa huh. grabe!

  6. mare, more than a year naming pinagugupitan si iñigo sa barber shop or salon pero never sila naging bati ng mga barbero. hehe. ok lang sana if buhok ni iñigo puedeng bangs lang lagi putol, naku 2 months lang dumaan mukha na naman s'yang naka-wig. =D

  7. you mentioned about that certificate... i saw that too in cuts for tots and ang mahal, huh! sabi ko nga buti na lang it's not iñigo's first haircut or else i'll be tempted also to get one for iñigo.

  8. buti nalang mas mura dito sa province :) i only pay Php 80 + tip to suking barbero for Benedict's monthly haircut. Wala bang SALON DE ROSE dyan sis? They also have those cars & competent barbers (yung marunong mang-uto ng toddlers), at least in the salon we frequent.

  10. i can also relate! once lang kami sinamahan ni daddy ian for inigo's haircut and now, ako na lang nagdadala sa kanya sa kiddie salon and minsan secret muna ke daddy kase napapasimangot sya everytime i remind him for inigo's haircut. hayaan na lang daw namin na long-hair si inigo dahil uso naman daw.. hahahaha!

  11. ako din hinde ko muna sinasabi kay hubby na pa haircut ko si iñigo, he'd know na lang after since obvious naman pero i will always highlight the benefits like behaved gupitan anak n'ya and he had fun with the toys kaya never na nagreklamo. hehe.
