binata na...

the kiddo would sometimes confuse us and make us believe that he's a grown-up trapped in a two-year-old's body.

go ahead mommy but i'll stay here and watch...

i'd better finish this fast before daddy looks for his burger...

(yup, sinalisihan ang tatay! =D)

"mommy, iñigo pol (fall) in line"

(okay, good, while i shop in the grocery. hehe)

"iñigo wear sandals and go to store"

(but with mommy of course)

and our favorite picture for the week... jude was saying he'll show this off to his officemates...

"shake-shake-shake!"

he's already peeing all by himself since the start of this year. he knows the drill... the drill taught by mommy (not the daddy), can you believe it? it's just simple... he'll pull down his bottom and put out his tweet-tweet, aims the target, and as he finishes he must shake first the tweet-tweet before pulling up his bottom so as not to wet it. so now, whenever i hear him say, "shake-shake-shake!" i know the son had been a good boy again and peed without asking mommy to assist him--wonderful!

i just hope this is also the case for the other one... but i know we'll get there... soon. =)

  1. uy galing naman ni Inigo sis! at least ambilis mo nakapag-potty train ha :)
congrats! konti nalang yan, laking bawas sa diaper expense na yan :D

unfortunately, ayaw pa kaming pagtipirin ni Benedict. No effect yung pagturo ko sa potty (either ours or his) sagutin ba naman ako ng "no Mommy, you only" meaning ikaw nalang dyan ok na ko sa diaper ko..hahaha

hay, i honestly dont know where to start. mukhang di pa sya ready eh :( sana soon =)

  3. how about the poop thing, sis? that's my problem with iñigo... he already knows he's going to poop pero ayaw sa toilet bowl, he'd insist sa diaper pa rin. =(

  4. hahaha. sinagot din ako ni iñigo ng ganyan... only mommy or daddy will sit on the toilet bowl. readiness nga is the key, sa pooping kasi 'di pa ready si iñigo makita ang poop n'ya... maarte eh, "yucky!" daw. hope nga soon, para diapers will no longer be in our grocery carts. =D

  5. actually, he can only hold up his pee for seconds. so when we go to the mall i still let him wear diapers. i tried last sunday not to let him wear diaper when he heard the mass, brief lang suot, mukha akong baliw sa aisle because tumatakbo ako while carry s'ya, buti na lang umabot kame sa cr. whew! take note, we're in the middle of a homily huh. jahe talaga! hahaha.

  7. i guess i will have to wait nga when he shows signs that he's ready. minsan i tried cloth nappy on him in the afternoon..nakulitan ata sa kin kc i'd always ask if he's gonna pee, instructing him to tell me. He told me nga...right after! sabi ba naman "mommy, finish na!" hay, basa yung rubbermat namin. grrr!

  8. wow! galing naman ni iñigo! you know what? i think it's a lot easier to make boys pee in the bathroom than girls... it's a lot more exciting for them as they get to stand and do their thing unlike girls. that's probably why kei learned to poop first than to pee.
try a potty chart! that worked for kei as she got really excited getting stickers to stick onto it after every successful trip to the toilet. :)

  9. is that for the poop? iñigo kasi abhors the sight and smell of his poop. well.. ang mommy rin naman. hahaha. i think he learned the word "yuck!" and "yucky" from me. i hope he gets this over soon para i can introduce na a potty trainer, which i actually don't like to use because it's a hassle to clean.

  10. the chart i made covered both... one box said "told mommy", the other "made weewee" and the last "made poopoo". syempre para mas magets ni kei non had to draw pictures to go along with it... hinihila niya ang mommy tapos yong sa dalawa nakaupo siya sa toilet bowl na mas umiiri lang yong facial expression nong isa. :D
one time, i saw her really trying to copy the picture as i drew them, the way the kei in the picture was holding onto her legs while on the toilet bowl, etc. it was really funny!

  11. yup! it can be a hassle alright especially when it's someone their age who's using it already (di na pang baby yong poop! :D).
that's why it was a big relief for me when kei finally started using the real thing with just the potty seat on top of it.
hey, why not skip the potty chair and go directly to the real thing?... pero baka takot pa and di pa sanay.

  12. i haven't tried it again. the first three tries were all failures, takot yata ma-flush. hehe. but recently, he's thrilled to see the water going down to the drain. i might as well use it as come-on for him to sit on the toilet bowl, siguro very soon, i need more cues from him. good luck to me!
